The group of Hong Kong young students first visited the exhibition hall of Aosheng Hi-Tech, learning in detail about the enterprise’s development history, full-chain industrial layout, application scenarios of core products as well as its honors and achievements. As a Hong Kong-invested enterprise rooted in Suzhou for many years, Aosheng Hi-Tech has long focused on carbon fiber composite materials. It continuously strengthens the independent controllability of the industrial chain, tackles key "bottleneck" technologies in the industry through scientific and technological innovation, addresses weaknesses and fills technical gaps, and has grown into a benchmark enterprise in Suzhou’s new materials sector.

At the start of the ceremony, Li Hong, Member of the Standing Committee of Wujiang District Party Committee and Director of the District United Front Work Department, delivered a welcome speech. She pointed out that organizing Hong Kong young people to take internships and conduct field exchanges in the Chinese mainland constitutes an important measure to deepen exchanges, interaction and integration between young people in Suzhou and Hong Kong. Through immersive industrial practice in the mainland, Hong Kong youth can foster a stronger sense of national identity from firsthand experience. Moreover, they build non-governmental bridges for information sharing and emotional communication between the two regions from a youth perspective, greatly boosting mutual understanding and shared values among young people in Suzhou and Hong Kong. She expressed the hope that this internship programme will serve as a new starting point to further improve the youth exchange and cooperation mechanism, expand cooperation in diverse areas including industrial connection, cultural exchange and youth development, and create broader platforms for young people from both regions to pursue growth and success.

Xu Wen Qian, Chairman of Aosheng Hi-Tech, spoke on behalf of the host enterprise of the internship programme. He stated that the Hong Kong Youth Internship Programme acts as an important bridge advancing cultural integration and emotional connection between the two regions. Taking this opportunity, Hong Kong young students have stepped into the front line of mainland industries, experienced the development strength of Suzhou’s manufacturing sector in an immersive manner, and witnessed the charm of innovation as enterprises strive to master core technologies. Beyond textbook knowledge, they gain a genuine understanding of the Yangtze River Delta, a region boasting abundant opportunities and solid industries.Aosheng Hi-Tech has long regarded supporting youth exchanges between Suzhou and Hong Kong as a vital mission to fulfill corporate social responsibility and connect resources of both sides. Aosheng sincerely invites more young students from Hong Kong to come to Suzhou and establish roots here. It is also hoped that the students can fulfill their personal aspirations amid the wave of industrial innovation in Suzhou and deeply integrate into the grand landscape of the country’s high-quality development.

At the ceremony, Deng Yunhua, Secretary of Pingwang Town Party Committee, together with representatives of participating internship organizations, presented internship completion certificates to all Hong Kong young trainees in turn. He encouraged all trainees to translate what they had learned and reflected on during the internship into motivation for future development, and strive to be young ambassadors for the integrated development of Suzhou and Hong Kong.

At the closing of the ceremony, Deng Bing, Deputy Director of the United Front Work Department of Suzhou Municipal Party Committee, delivered an important speech. Deng Bing emphasized that the integration of Suzhou and Hong Kong constitutes an important component of the coordination between two national strategies: the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta and the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Young people are the core force driving the long-term prosperity and development of both regions. As a highland of manufacturing and a famous historical and cultural city, Suzhou has always attached great importance to supporting Hong Kong youth who pursue development in the city. It actively provides them with a fair development environment, robust policy support and thoughtful services.
He sincerely welcomed more young students from Hong Kong to visit Suzhou, learn about Suzhou and take root in Suzhou. He encouraged them to find their own positioning amid Suzhou’s industrial innovation and urban development, closely follow the overall national development agenda, and realize the value of youth in the era of Suzhou-Hong Kong integrated development.
