On the morning of July 17, the first "Belt and Road" Overseas Chinese Cooperation and Development Conference opened in Chongqing. More than 500 overseas Chinese representatives from more than 110 countries and regions were invited to attend the conference. At the meeting, it was pointed out that in 2013, General Secretary Xi Jinping coordinated the overall strategic situation of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and the great changes in the world that have not been seen in a century, and in response to the requirements of the times for the transformation of the global governance system, he put forward the grand initiative of jointly building the "Belt and Road". Over the past decade, the joint construction of the "Belt and Road" has become the world's largest, most extensive and most influential international economic cooperation platform. In this process, the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese has fully played the role of unity, connection and service, and built a bridge of cooperation between China and the countries involved in the joint construction around promoting a higher level of opening up to the outside world and unblocking domestic and international dual circulation. It is hoped that the majority of overseas Chinese will seize the historical opportunity, focus on promoting Chinese-style modernization, and work together to promote the high-quality joint construction of the "Belt and Road" to go deeper and more practical, so as to achieve the reunification of the motherland, national rejuvenation, and promote world peace, tranquility and common development.
